Job Title: Engine BuilderLocation: Barton Under Needwood, StaffordshireDuration: 3 months plus

Hours :7am till 5pm Monday to Thursday and 7am till 1pm on a Friday.

We are currently recruiting for a number of Engine Builders for permanent roles to work within the Rail industry based in Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire.Key Accountabilities/ responsibilities:

- To be able to strip and re-build all the mechanical components of an engine, as per the work instruction.- To be able to work to OEM manuals.- To read and interpret assembly specifications and manuals, to plan assembly and build operations.- The ability to verify conformance of parts to stock lists, using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers.- To liaise with other business units to get the task completed.- The ability to adhere to strict deadlines.- To accurately complete documentation to the company's standards- To ensure that waste is disposed of in the correct manner.- To mentor trainees / apprentices when applicable.- To report any near misses.- To comply with Company and statutory Quality, Health & Safety, Environmental and HR policies and procedures.- To report any failures / faults identified.
