SF Recruitment are currently working with a client in South Derbyshire to recruit a Purchase Ledger Clerk on a permanent basis working full-time hours. The position is 37.5 hours a week with a flexible start time and finish times, and a competitive benefits package. Some of your main responsibilities will be - - Process all supplier invoices and obtain relevant approval prior to payment. - GL coding and VAT transaction entries onto accounting system. - Prepare invoices for payment, prioritizing as required. - Process credit card expenses in a timely manner. - Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments. - Post transactions to journals, ledgers and other records. - Process staff expenses claims - Sort and deal with incoming mail and emails. - Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies and issues. - Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date. - Assist with month end closing. - Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy. - Bank Account Reconciliation - Assisting in relevant duties during the accounts team absences As this role is a purchase ledger position, you must have previous experience working in a busy purchase ledger role, which has covered all aspects up to processing payments.
