Burton and South Derbyshire College is a forward thinking General Further Education College with high future ambitions. We have excellent provision serving the communities of East Staffordshire and South Derbyshire, work with nearly 1,000 businesses regionally and serve over 5,000 learners.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Business Intelligence (Maternity Cover) to provide operational leadership and management for the College's Management Information Systems (MIS) and Examinations function. In this role, you will ensure the delivery of a responsive, effective, and efficient MIS service that supports the College's strategic goals. You will lead a professional team to maintain an exemplary standard in the management of data, examinations, and reporting systems, ultimately supporting both students' and the institution's success.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A relevant professional qualification
  • Experience of managing a successful MIS department
  • Effective management and motivation skills in order to manage teams to embed best practice in MIS and examinations
  • The ability to learn quickly, especially in relation to systems and processes
  • Experience of analysing and interpreting data and taking remedial action where appropriate
