The Company

Our client is an EPC business who deliver large turnkey engineering projects for customers in the FMCG, Process and Pharmaceutical markets. The business takes responsibility for the delivery of projects from initial system design through to commissioning of project at customer site and delivery projects on a global scale for SME and large blue-chip customers.

The business has been on an incredible journey in the past decade which has seen them transform from delivering £20 million of project per year to in excess of £100 million.   The company has ambitious plans to be the world leader in their field and have invested heavily in their infrastructure, brand and staff development as part of this mission.

As part of their 2025 plan they are growing their documentation team within their project engineering team.   The documentation team support projects by pulling together all documentation required for data dossiers to finalise projects and by issuing documentation to customers through the project lifecycle.

As part of this plan they are looking for a Document Engineer who will be responsible for pulling together the final data dossier at the end of projects for customers.   They are looking to fill the role with immediate effect so please apply online for a speedy consideration.

 

The Role

The Document Engineer will be responsible for pulling together all the documents for live projects into a final data dossier for customers.  Documents required for customers data dossier pack include:

  • O&M Manuals
  • Technical Construction Packs
  • Control Panel Drawings
  • P&IDs
  • Welding Reports
  • Supplier material certificates
  • Commissioning documents
  • Welding certificates

The Document Engineers will be involved from the start of the project by:

  • Taking a broad overview of what total documentation will be required across the whole project.
  • Tracking this documentation required across the project and ensure everyone is held accountable to have the documentation required to required timescales.
  • Checking all documentation is compliant and ensuring documentation is formatted in line with company standards.

 

The Candidate

To be successful in your application for this Document Engineer role you will need:

  • Experience in a document control, document management or technical administration related role.
  • A strong attention to detail.
  • To be comfortable working in a fast paced and reactive working environment
  • To be highly organised individual who can prioritise well.
  • To be a strong communicator
  • Any exposure to working within an engineering environment or with technical drawings is an advantage but not essential.
