Children Residential Team Leader (2 Positions)

Location: Burton-on-Trent

Salary: £13.70 per hour, £60 per sleep

Role Purpose: We are seeking two dedicated and experienced Children Residential Team Leaders to join our team. The successful candidates will support and manage the staff team to ensure high standards of care for children and young people in our residential home. This role involves direct work with children, managing child protection concerns, and working in partnership with other professionals to achieve the best outcomes for young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management:

    • Provide effective leadership and management to the staff team.
    • Support and supervise staff to ensure they are motivated and well-trained.
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Care and Support:

    • Advocate for the young people and ensure their needs are met.
    • Develop and implement care plans tailored to the individual needs of the young people.
    • Foster a sense of belonging and stability within the home.
  • Compliance and Standards:

    • Ensure the home meets all regulatory requirements and standards.
    • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Operational Management:

    • Manage budgets and resources effectively.
    • Ensure the home is well-maintained and all health and safety regulations are met.
    • Participate in on-call duties as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

Essential:

  • Experience in a residential care setting, preferably with children and young people.
  • Needs to hold a Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Children’s Care 
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards.
