Job Scope:

We are seeking an experienced Children Deputy Manager to join a renowned provider of residential care for children. As a Children Deputy Manager, you will play a vital role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the home, supporting young people aged 7-17 who have faced severe neglect or trauma. Your focus will be on ensuring a safe, nurturing, and structured environment where they can recover and thrive.

The Children Deputy Manager will work closely with the Registered Manager to implement care plans, manage staff, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. You will supervise and support the team, provide regular training, and lead by example in delivering person-centred care. Additionally, you will handle safeguarding concerns, maintain records, and contribute to the development of services that promote positive outcomes for children.

This role is ideal for a skilled Deputy Manager with experience in children’s residential care or a Senior Support Worker ready to step up into a leadership position.

Do you have?

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a children’s residential care home within the last 5 years, including 1 year supervising and managing care staff.
  • Hold a Level 3 Diploma (or above) in Residential Childcare (England) or equivalent, with thorough knowledge of Ofsted regulations, legislation, and Quality Standards.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, paired with a full UK driving licence and unrestricted right to work in the UK.
  • Must be 21+ to meet industry regulations, with a passion for outdoor activities; relevant experience or qualifications are a bonus.
