Fire Safety Co-Ordinator

Working within the Fire, Electrical & Asbestos compliance team: we are looking to recruit a Fire Safety Co-ordinator to provide an essential service to meet the compliance legislation and guidance in regard to compliance workstreams. You will be required to undertake routine functionality testing and inspection of compliance-based equipment within our communal areas. This will include fire alarms, smoke/heat detectors, emergency lights and AOV’s.

You will also assist, where necessary, by undertaking other compliance-based inspections. Where appropriate to your skill set, you will be required to complete minor repairs and adjustments to assist and support compliance related workstreams.

The successful candidate will have:

• A flexible approach • Enthusiasm • A positive attitude • Full driving licence (use of company van will be provided). • A good understanding of appropriate legislation. • A proven ability to undertake inspection and testing regimes and in maintaining accurate records; • Familiar with using a PDA and/or a tablet/laptop. • Experience of a trade or working in a DIY environment • Knowledge of fire alarm detection systems and fire door surveys (training can be provided to the right candidate
