Location: Burton on Trent

Salary: £45,000 per annum plus benefits

Hours: Monday to Friday, Office Hours

The Opportunity:

As our client continue to grow and expand, we're excited to support them in the search for a dynamic Commercial Manager to join the team. This is a fantastic opportunity to collaborate closely with the Lead Commercial Manager, playing a pivotal role in securing and delivering business tenders on time and within budget to national customers. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage OTP projects up to an agreed value threshold and assist with high-value or complex projects.

  • Collaborate with Construction, Architectural and Technical Teams to price works accurately.

  • Attend pre-start meetings, which may require site visits.

  • Oversee the procurement process from contract negotiation to site commencement, including supplier management.

  • Manage commercial aspects of ongoing construction projects, including monthly valuations.

  • Assist with variation orders.

  • Work with the Compliance Director to agree on sub-contract terms and conditions.

  • Support the Lead Commercial Manager and Estimating team with tender enquiries.

  • Coordinate workload within the estimating team.

  • Perform estimating tasks as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of three years experience in a similar role.

  • Proven experience in new contract negotiation and managing the tender process.

  • Estimating experience is essential.

  • Knowledge of JCT/NEC3 contracts is desirable.

  • Strong communication skills, both internal and external.

  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage your own workload.

  • Own transport is required.
