Our client, a leading energy consultancy, is looking for an Energy Analyst to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for validating energy bills, generating reports on client energy usage and reconciling statements with suppliers. The ideal candidate will have experience in bill and invoice validation, energy reporting and statement reconciliation, along with intermediate Excel skills and prior experience in the energy industry. If this sounds like you – apply today!! 

Key responsibilities:

  • Check and record utility bills and meter readings
  • Liaise with energy suppliers/data collectors and client to resolve queries
  • Provide energy management, consumption and monitoring reports for customers
  • Gain a thorough understanding of the client’s requirements and our contractual obligations 
  • Provide a validation service in line with SLAs and quality policy and objectives
  • Analyse and record areas of potential over/under charges 
  • Production of all relevant reports 
  • Ensure a full validation service is provided across all contracted supplies

Skills and experience required: 

  • Energy industry experience – bureau, bill/ invoice validation, energy reporting, reconciliation
  • Proficient in MS Excel at an intermediate to advanced level
  • Strong numerical skills with a keen eye for accuracy in figures and calculations
  • Excellent analytical abilities with a detail-oriented approach
  • A background in finance, specifically statement reconciliation
  • A degree in Mathematics or Computer Science is preferred but not required
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to be proactive and prioritise effectively
  • Committed to identifying opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency
