In this high-impact role, you will collaborate with various stakeholders to provide strategic insights, evaluate new initiatives, and influence key business decisions. Your expertise will ensure continuous improvement in financial management, governance, and control across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with commercial teams to understand business models, objectives, and market dynamics, contributing to the development and execution of business strategies.
  • Develop and deliver robust financial models to evaluate complex business plans, identify growth opportunities, and recommend strategic actions.
  • Manage financial processes, including the preparation and analysis of weekly, monthly, and quarterly results, providing actionable insights to senior leadership.
  • Identify potential risks and opportunities, quantify their impact, and support proactive decision-making to mitigate risks or capitalise on opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create data-driven forecasts, annual operating plans, and strategic plans that align with business objectives.
  • Conduct in-depth analytics and support ad-hoc projects related to commercial finance and business priorities.
  • Work with Data Analytics teams to track, report, and refine key performance indicators (KPIs), while developing new metrics to measure business success effectively.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you will bring a strong blend of technical expertise, commercial acumen, and leadership skills. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA), preferably complemented by a degree-level education.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a commercially focused finance role.
  • A background in the retail or logistics sector (preferred).
  • Advanced Excel skills, with proficiency in financial modelling, reporting, and analysis.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with proven business partnering experience.
