SF Recruitment are pleased to be exclusively partnered with a leading, high growth construction & manufacturing business based in Burton-on-Trent in the appointment of a highly commercial Senior Finance Business Partner vacancy.

  • Please note that some occasional travel to the Ireland plant will be required for this role for approx. 3 days per month.

As the pivotal ally to the UK & Ireland Managing Director responsible for revenues in excess of €100m, you will play a key part in driving business decisions and shaping commercial strategies whilst overseeing the Site/Plant Controller, taking full P&L ownership for the business area. A key element of your role will involve collaboration with key stakeholders to identify growth opportunities, undertaking financial analysis, and playing a key part in driving the overall commercial performance of the business.

About your role:

  • Deliver ongoing financial insights and analysis to support decision-making, providing commercial profitability and effective management of business overheads
  • Analysis and communication of potential financial opportunities and risks, delivering timely and accurate reporting for transparent decision-making
  • Working closely with key commercial stakeholders in the preparation and execution of action plans to sustainably improve UK business performance, both short and medium term
  • Actively participate in sales and operational planning processes, providing key financial analysis and challenging outcomes to drive better results
  • Manage financial aspects of rebates and credit management, working closely with shared services and the wider Group finance team
  • Monitor, challenge and drive commercial performance, undertaking ad-hoc financial analysis and advising on key negotiations for material decisions
  • Jointly hold accountability for managing Recurring Free Cash Flow alongside other stakeholders, ensuring business objectives alignment.
  • Prepare management information in alignment with all stakeholders, ensuring that decisions are undertaken as a result of accurate, timely, and relevant financial information
  • Act as the key contact for external auditors, Shared Service Centres, and Internal Controls
  • Drive continuous improvement by maintaining a network of peers, sharing best practices, and enhancing the commercial controlling process
  • Deliver presentations of key financial data in a clear and concise manner to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Line management of the Site Controller in Ireland

About you:You will be an ambitious, experienced senior Business Partner, ideally with a full accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) however suitably experienced QBE or part-qualified applicants are welcome to apply.You will have a proven track record ideally within an international, multi-cultural group structure, with strong financial analysis, forecasting, and business acumen skill-sets, confident at operating at and presenting into c-suite stakeholders (CEO/CFO etc).

You will be a competent user of ERP/BI systems (SAP would be highly advantageous), and take a pragmatic, outcome-driven approach to your role driven by analytical decision making, with a proven ability to lead change initiatives and drive continuous improvement whilst demonstrating strong business intuition and service-oriented mindset, with the ability to challenge and drive performance.

The ideal candidate will be available to start on a 1 month notice or less however this is non-essential. What's in it for you?:
