Ford & Stanley are proud to be working with a world renowned fleet overhaul and maintenance company for a Bid Manager based within one of their offices either in Doncaster, Burton upon Trent or Birkenhead.

Responsibilities of the Bid Manager include:

  • Build and maintain customer relationships to promote our client as the preferred rail overhaul supplier in the UK and Ireland.
  • Respond to customer service queries related to specific products/customers.
  • Collaborate with Business Development Managers and Head of Tendering to develop opportunities, generate work, build a sales pipeline, and secure profitable orders.
  • Accurately manage CRM data for key accounts and opportunities, ensuring it is updated.
  • Act as a key contact for customers on secured work and routine business.
  • Provide accurate reports to the Head of Tendering and Business Development Managers.
  • Lead and support tenders, complete pricing exercises, and ensure competitive and compliant bids under the supervision of the Head of Tendering and Business Development Managers.
  • Collate costing/pricing content for tenders, working with Operational, Engineering, and Procurement departments to ensure accuracy and approval.
  • Manage the tender approval process to obtain necessary permissions for bid submission.
  • Oversee the handover of secured orders to the delivery team.
  • Manage and lead Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQs) as required.
