Job Title: Labourer (Steam Bay Cleaner)Location: Barton Under NeedwoodHours: 7:00 AM - 5:00PM (Monday to Thursday) 7:00am t0 1:00pm on Friday. , 44 hours per weekContract: 3 months plus - likely to be extended Job Overview:We are currently seeking a Labourer (Steam Bay Cleaner) to join our Engine Strip & Transmission team at our Barton Under Needwood site. The primary responsibility of this role is to clean vehicles and pack and wrap parts while also assisting with general labouring duties across the site. The ideal candidate will be flexible, hardworking, and willing to operate various mechanical equipment as required.Key Responsibilities:* Clean vehicles such as rafts, engines, raft frames, and transmissions using pressure washer equipment.* Prepare machinery and vehicles for delivery.* Pack and shrink-wrap products securely.* Assist with site maintenance, including litter picking and waste compacting/baling.* Operate forklifts, heavy plant machinery, and other hand trucks.* Load and unload materials and equipment across the site, including manual handling.* Identify damages and report any shortages or quality deficiencies.* Work in accordance with all 5S activities and report any job-related issues to the line manager.* Comply with all company and statutory Quality, Health & Safety, Environmental, and Personnel policies and procedures.* Take on additional tasks as required within the scope of the role.Requirements:* Strong verbal and written communication skills.* Hands on experience - open to backgrounds ideally in engineering / Construction etc. * Ability to meet deadlines and work within short lead times.* Willingness to learn new skills and work as part of a team.* Ability to operate and control various equipment.* Good understanding of health and safety regulations.Key Performance Indicators:* Successful and timely completion of tasks with zero faults.
