About the Role
Are you passionate about inspiring young minds and making a real difference in the lives of students? We are seeking a dedicated PHSE Teacher who can also teach Health and Social Care to join our team at a dynamic Short Stay PRU. This is a full-time position, beginning in January 2024, where you will support students in Key Stages 3 and 4, helping them achieve their full potential in a nurturing and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons in PHSE and Health & Social Care.
Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment tailored to individual student needs.
Work closely with the SENCO and pastoral staff to provide holistic support for students.
Adapt teaching strategies to address the diverse learning needs of students in a PRU setting.
Build positive relationships with students to foster their confidence and engagement in education.
Monitor and report on student progress, setting achievable goals and targets.
About You
We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic professional who:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and has experience teaching PHSE and/or Health & Social Care.
Demonstrates empathy, resilience, and the ability to inspire young people facing challenges.
Is experienced in working with students with social, emotional, or behavioral needs (preferred but not essential).
Possesses excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Is passionate about improving outcomes for all students and is committed to ongoing professional development.
