Are you an experienced Responsible Individual (RI) with a strong track record of leading Outstanding children's residential services? We are looking for a highly skilled and strategic leader to oversee a pioneering initiative supporting young individuals with complex emotional, behavioural, and mental health needs.About the OrganisationThis specialist service consists of three residential units, two of which are adjacent, while the third is situated two miles away. Each unit provides intensive, high-ratio care (4:1 or greater) for young people with significant needs who require specialized, individualised support.All three homes will operate under a single Ofsted registration, enabling streamlined governance and flexibility for staff, the Registered Manager (RM), and the Responsible Individual (RI) across the service.The RoleAs the Responsible Individual, you will be accountable for compliance, leadership, and quality assurance across all three homes. You will work closely with the Registered Manager, regulatory bodies, and key stakeholders to ensure the highest standards of care and regulatory compliance.Key Responsibilities:- Oversee and ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations, the Children's Homes Regulations 2015, and Quality Standards- Provide strategic leadership and governance across all three homes- Ensure a strong safeguarding culture, prioritizing the safety and well-being of young people- Collaborate with Registered Managers and external agencies to drive service excellence- Monitor performance, conduct audits, and lead on service improvements- Support the Ofsted registration process and regulatory inspectionsWhat We Offer:Full support for Ofsted registration, including:- Coaching for the registration process- Assistance in sourcing and transitioning young people into the home- Comprehensive operational guidanceCompetitive Compensation & Benefits (Under Review), including:- Company-sponsored medical insurance- Travel subsistence allowance- Performance-based bonuses (e.g., upon successful Ofsted registration, achieving Outstanding ratings, etc.)- Private pension planWho We're Looking For:

- A proven Responsible Individual (RI) with an Outstanding Ofsted track record (exceptional candidates with Good ratings may be considered)- Extensive experience in children's residential services, particularly with EBD and mental health needs- Deep understanding of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and compliance- Strong leadership, governance, and quality assurance skills- Experience in setting up or developing new services (desirable but not essential)
