Our Engineering client based in the Burton On Trent area, is looking for a Mechanical Assembly Fitter with Hydraulic experience

Position Summary:The role is to overhaul and test the company's range of products which includes Hydraulic Pumps, Motors, Valves, Hydraulic Power units, High Pressure Hydraulic tooling such as Press equipment.

Key Accountabilities/ responsibilities:

1. Comply with Company and statutory Quality, Health & Safety, Environmental and Personnel policies and procedures.2. Fault finding down to component level using test results to pin point failures3. Precise assembly and test of Hydraulic Pumps, Motors, servo valves, manifolds and hydraulic actuators (OE and Aftermarket)4. Inspection of incoming components checking for defects and imperfections5. Testing assembled products to strict criteria required within the rail sector6. Carrying out quality inspections at all stages of the assembly process7. Creating and completing technical documentation and procedures8. Working within clean room environments9. To cover stores area as required10. To preserve and maintain all company tools and equipment in your care11. Ensure that waste is disposed of in the correct manner12. Maintain a good attendance at work13. Mentor trainees / apprentices when applicable14. Report near misses

Background & Experience: * Understanding of hydraulics with ability to accurately assemble and test the company's wide range of products. The ability to work to tight deadlines.* Knowledge and experience of cleanliness requirements in Hydraulics and safety precautions in Pressure Testing.* Good knowledge of general engineering practices such as overhauling units/measuring/ use of measuring equipment/ component inspection/Testing and Fault Finding.Qualifications/Education required:* Desirable - Ability to read and interpret hydraulic and engineering drawings* Desirable - Engineering/Mechanical or Hydraulic qualification* Experience within a similar role* Good hand skills in an engineering workshop.
