Job Title: Mechanical Fitter
Location: Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire
Duration: Contract (3+ months)
Pay Rate: 17 per hour

We are currently recruiting for a number of Mechanical Fitters for 3+ months work based in Burton-on-Trent working for a large rail engineering company.

Own transport is recommended due to the location.

Candidates must have either of the following experience, Plant, Rail, HGV, Maintenance Experience, Overhaul background.

The role of a Mechanical Fitter is to build transmission and sub-assembly to a high standard.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
* Understanding of vehicle mechanical interfaces and repairs of vehicle components.
* Install and repair of hydraulic systems.
* Fault find and diagnostic investigation work.
* Engine knowledge.
* Overhaul of raft components.
* Understanding of schematic drawings.
* Training as and when required.
* Previous Rail/Automotive or Plant experience required.

Working Hours:
* Monday to Thursday - 07:00 to 17:00
* Friday - 07:00 to 13:00
* Overtime is available.
