The job is for a Mechanical Fitter (Voith Fitter) located in Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire, on a 6-month contract.
The pay rate is dependent on experience (DOE), and the working hours are from 7 am to 5 pm, Monday to Thursday, and 7 am to 1 pm on Fridays.
Candidates should have experience with gearboxes and be able to build transmission and sub-assemblies to a high standard.
Responsibilities include understanding vehicle mechanical interfaces, installing and repairing components, and performing diagnostic investigations.
Applicants are subject to a Drugs & Alcohol test and are encouraged to have their own transport due to the location.

The role of the Mechanical Fitter is to build transmission and sub-assembly to a high standard.

Responsibilities

Understanding of vehicle mechanical interfaces and repairs of vehicle components

* Able to install and repair * Fault find and diagnostic investigation work* Mechanical knowledge * Repairing or replacing parts, old and new.* Understand and follow drawings* Work to company safety
