Job Title: Voith Fitter.Location: Near Burton.Hours: 44 hours per week.Monday to Thursday: 7:00 am to 5:00 pmFriday: 7:00 am to 1:00 pmContract Type: Temp-to-Perm (straight permanent contracts may also be considered)Salary: Competitive, depending on experienceOverview:We are looking for experienced HGV Fitters or Heavy Plant Fitters specialising in transmissions and gearboxes, or those with expertise in heavy vehicle maintenance. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work to high-quality standards in a team-oriented environment.Key Responsibilities:Perform repairs and maintenance on vehicle mechanical interfaces and components.Install and repair vehicle systems.Fault-find and carry out diagnostic investigations.Repair or replace old and new parts as required.Work to company safety and quality standards, following Work Instructions (WI) and technical drawings.Participate in Continuous Improvement (Kaizen) initiatives.Dispose of waste responsibly in accordance with company standards.Mentor trainees or apprentices as needed.Maintain good attendance and adhere to line manager instructions.Desirable Skills and Qualifications:Strong mechanical knowledge (advantageous).Ability to work independently or within a team.Owning your own tools is beneficial.Commitment to health, safety, and environmental practices.Additional Information:This role offers an excellent opportunity for professional development, with the potential for a permanent contract.
