In this role, you will play a key part in delivering outstanding visitor experiences, overseeing the admission desk operations. Your main responsibilities will include providing first-class communication and ensuring that all visitors receive excellent customer service.  The ideal candidates will have proven experience in team customer service, with the ability to effectively lead and support volunteers. Your role will require you to be adaptable and proactive, confidently handling a wide range of operational tasks and situations. You will also act as an ambassador for the site, promoting various activities and income-generating opportunities such as tours, events, and donations. A strong knowledge of our site, along with the ability to handle visitor feedback professionally and compassionately, is essential.Successful candidates will possess excellent IT skills, particularly in MS Office and digital portals, and demonstrate strong organisational and communication abilities. You should be adept at influencing and negotiating with diverse stakeholders while maintaining a high level of professionalism. This position requires a motivated individual who can manage sensitive conversations with empathy and confidentiality, continuously striving to improve systems and processes within the team.Please note that this role will be based onsite at the National Memorial Arboretum, Burton-on-Trent DE13 7AR.About the National Memorial ArboretumThe Arboretum is the UK’s year-round centre of Remembrance and part of the Royal British Legion. Home to over 350 memorials, including the nationally-important Armed Forces Memorial, it remembers the service and sacrifice of those who have served and continue to serve our country. The 150-acre site features around 30,000 maturing trees and an abundance of wildlife.
