Our Engineering client has a position for a Welding Assistant for a minimum of 3 months.

The role of the operative is to carry out mandatory services and associated repairs.

Responsibilities:

* Working in a manual environment, the role is air under water pressure test product after weld process* Ability to read engineering drawings preferred but not essential as training will be provided* Checking quality of parts before and after process* Grinding/fettling product* Kitting parts to line* PPE supplied; safety glasses, ear protection, overalls, gloves, safety boots (and visors where relevant)* To undertake training as and when required.* To work within a realistic timeframe.* To mentor trainees / apprentices when applicable.* To ensure that waste is disposed of in the correct manner.* To adhere to written or verbal instructions.
