Join our clients adventurous team! As a Specialist Product Manager, you'll lead and manage the growth of their Specialist Products, taking ownership of their strategic direction with support from the Heads of Product.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Management: Own the strategy for Specialist products with support from Heads of Product.
  • Product Promotion: Champion the Solo, Active, and new products across the business to boost their profile and maximize sales.
  • Performance Metrics: Maintain ownership of P&L and NPS scores for Specialist products.
  • Product Development: Constantly review, improve, and refine tour itineraries. Identify areas for improvement and new product opportunities.
  • Market Research: Collaborate with the Insight team to gain consumer insights for product growth.
  • Negotiation & Contracting: Negotiate and contract land products for Specialist products with relevant teams.
  • Tour Costing: Compile, manage, and update all tour costings to achieve target margins. Reclaim compensation from suppliers where necessary.
  • Supplier & Product Management: Manage supplier agreements and contracts. Follow up on tour details post-visit and ensure accurate tour costing and detailed notes for Marketing.
  • Competitor Analysis: Monitor competitor activity and its impact on our tours.
  • Customer Service: Manage Customer Service information requests promptly. Ensure hotel/agent contracts are updated and returned signed within agreed timelines.
  • Product Training: Deliver clear and professional product training as needed.
  • Accuracy in Marketing: Check brochure and website content for accuracy and suggest improvements.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrable experience as a Product Manager, ideally in European travel/solo tours.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with key suppliers.
  • Strategic and commercial mindset with strong negotiation skills.
  • Creative and proactive problem-solving abilities.
  • Team player with the capability to work independently.
  • High accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Well-developed organizational skills.
  • Proactive and able to use initiative.
  • Knowledge of another European language (desired but not essential).
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Manage a small selection of European tours as needed.
  • Undertake overseas visits to develop new tour ideas and confirm supplier agreements.
