The Engineering & Manufacturing division of SF Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Control Systems Engineer, to work for a well-established manufacturer based in Burton on Trent. Working as part of a team, you will be responsible for delivering a range of controls & systems based projects, whilst maintaining and developing a positive attitude towards costs, quality and health and safety.
The Role;
- Lead continuous improvement projects within the engineering team.
- Offer technical support to the wider team.
- Trouble shoot controls & networking issues.
- Highlight and offer long term solutions to system faults.
- Understand and work with other teams (Quality / R&D / HSE / IT) to ensure the systems are running to their optimal levels.
The Control Systems Engineer;
- A relevant qualification to HNC level, as a minimum, such as control systems engineering.
- GCSE Maths & English - Grade C or above.
- Strong working knowledge of PLC systems such as Siemens S7 - fault finding & programming.
- Extensive SCADA knowledge and how it interfaces with other software applications.
- Comfortable with a varying workload & environment - from on the factory floor, working directly with systems and in the office creating new designs / writing software.
