The Opportunity

Ford & Stanley Recruitment are partnered with an international manufacturer on their search for a Sales Coordinator/Customer Service Representative to join the team. This is a development role and will include full training and comes with long-term progression opportunities.

Working with the sales team, production and liaising with customers on a regular basis, this role requires a personable individual experienced in customer service, problem solving and with a business mature approach to work at their site in Burton 5 days a week. You will be responsible for coordinating new sales opportunities whilst maintaining and improving relationships with customers and handling incoming orders from intake to delivery efficiently and profitably – ensuring a growth in sales and targets are met. You will be working within a team that deals with the company order book which is integral to the running of the whole business therefore the right person will have brilliant attention to detail, be solution focused, have willingness to go the extra mile and think outside of the box, take responsibility, be organised, enjoy a challenge and aim to achieve 100% on all projects.

 
Some of the Key Responsibilities:

  • Building and maintaining excellent relationships with the customer through your daily duties and by supporting the Sales Manager(s) in the management of the customer
  • Identification of sales opportunities, escalating to Sales Managers
  • Management of incoming sales enquires within pre-defined timescale; loading orders onto the ERP system, directing orders to the estimating team promptly. Undertaking profitability checks. Supporting the estimating process.
  • Representing the customer, striving always to provide the best possible service whilst acting within the best interests of the company.
  • Liaising with all other departments within the business to represent the customer, anticipate problems and risks, highlight and resolve these accordingly, answer customer queries
  • Supporting the preparation of invoices and resolving invoicing queries
  • Prepare and provide statistics, KPI data and reports as required by the business and the customer


 The Candidate

Preferred: Experience with ERP system preferably Sage, good products/market knowledge, and experience of working with OEM and after-market sales.

Essential: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, customer centric with good interpersonal and negotiation skills.
