RP Recruitment Group is excited to be recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join a growing SME business based in Burton-on-Trent. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a collaborative finance team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Location: Hybrid - 3 days on-site in Burton-on-TrentSalary: £26,000 - £27,500 DOE

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales & Purchase Ledger: Processing invoices, maintaining ledgers, and reconciling accounts
  • Bank & Cash Management: Conducting reconciliations and posting monthly journals
  • Month-End Support: Assisting with reporting and control account reconciliations
  • Expense Management: Processing staff expenses and reconciling company credit card transactions
  • General Finance Admin: Handling queries, liaising with third parties, and supporting process improvements
  • Office Administration: Ordering supplies, arranging meetings, and ensuring smooth office operations

About you?

  • Experience of using Sage 50 accounts.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly excel, word, and outlook.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate well, both verbally and in written form.
  • AAT L2 (minimum), AAT L3 (desirable) or equivalent level of finance / accounting experience.
