Location: Burton On Trent

We are currently hiring for an award-winning business! Working in a well-established small finance team, you will become an integral part of the day to day running of the finance department.

Joining their team means becoming part of an exciting and innovative company that is dedicated to providing prompt and accurate financial data. As a Finance Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and success of our client's finance department.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Raising and sending out invoices in a timely manner.
  • Processing purchase ledgers and conducting cash and bank reconciliations.
  • Maintaining sales and purchase ledgers.
  • Preparing monthly journals and control account reconciliations.
  • Assisting with month-end reporting and processing staff expense payments.
  • Dealing with accounts-related queries and requests.
  • Implementing necessary controls and processes within the finance department.
  • Providing regular reports to the finance manager.

What we're looking for:

  • Previous experience using Sage 50 cloud accounts.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong background of working within a busy finance team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritise workload.
  • Proactive and a true team player.
  • AAT level 3 qualified
