Band 7 CAMHS Practitioner Opportunity - Burton (NHS Contract)

Service Care Solutions is recruiting for an experienced Band 7 CAMHS Practitioner to join a dynamic team on a temporary NHS contract in Burton.

  • Rate of Pay: £31.00 per hour (LTD, paid via an umbrella).
  • Contract Type: Temporary.
  • Working Hours: 4 days per week, 9 AM - 5 PM.

About the Role:The successful candidate will deliver a high-quality, comprehensive mental health service for children and young people with serious and enduring mental health challenges. This role involves managing a defined caseload and focusing on supporting children, young people, and their families with complex needs.

Core Responsibilities Include:

  • Conducting specialist assessments for children and young people (CYP) referred to CAMHS. Assessments will utilise a range of tools including psychological and physical health self-reports, rating scales, outcome measures, structured observations, and interviews with clients, families, and relevant professionals.
  • Delivering targeted interventions as part of a multi-disciplinary team (MDT).
  • Coordinating care plans and working collaboratively across disciplines to ensure seamless care for CYP and families.
  • Providing consultation, liaison, and advice to various agencies involved in the care of young people.
  • Offering supervision to team members as agreed with the Team Lead.
  • Participating actively in team and service development initiatives and evaluating outcomes.
  • Taking a lead in the development of clinical services for young people accessing CAMHS, including consultations and program enhancements.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have demonstrable experience working with children and young people with complex mental health needs.
  • Be an integral part of the MDT, ensuring coordinated and holistic care for service users.
  • Display strong skills in inter-agency communication and multidisciplinary collaboration.
