The role involves using specialised orbital welding equipment to achieve welds in a controlled and automated manner, ensuring accuracy, repeatability, and adherence to strict industry standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare and set up welding equipment, including orbital and automatic welding machines, power supplies, and gas systems

Ensure all necessary materials, such as pipes or tubes, are clean, properly aligned, and ready for welding.

Program and calibrate orbital and automatic welding machines based on specific project requirements

Adjust welding parameters, such as current, voltage, and rotation speed, to achieve the desired weld characteristics.

Operate orbital and automatic welding equipment to perform high-precision welds on a variety of materials, including stainless steel and exotic bespoke alloys.

Monitor and control the welding process to maintain consistent quality and meet project specifications.

Inspect welded joints using visual inspection and to ensure they meet industry standards and project requirements.

Document and record welding parameters, inspection results, and other relevant data
