We are looking to recruit on behalf of our client, an experienced Orbital Welding Operator to join their existing team on a permanent basis.

The role involves using specialized orbital welding equipment to achieve welds in a controlled and automated manner, ensuring accuracy, repeatability, and adherence to strict industry standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Prepare and set up welding equipment, including orbital and automatic welding machines, power supplies, and gas systems
    • Ensure all necessary materials, such as pipes or tubes, are clean, properly aligned, and ready for welding.
    • Program and calibrate orbital and automatic welding machines based on specific project requirements
    • Adjust welding parameters, such as current, voltage, and rotation speed, to achieve the desired weld characteristics.
    • Operate orbital and automatic welding equipment to perform high-precision welds on a variety of materials, including stainless steel and exotic bespoke alloys.
    • Monitor and control the welding process to maintain consistent quality and meet project specifications.
    • Inspect welded joints using visual inspection and to ensure they meet industry standards and project requirements.

Document and record welding parameters, inspection results, and other relevant data.
