The company are a global leading manufacturing company situated in Burton Upon Trent. Their head office in the UK is an impressive building, with a full training facility on site. Due to continued expansion, they now have a rare opportunity for a Technical Sales Engineer to join the business. They offer a competitive basic salary circa to 30k with Annual Bonus, Hybrid Working (3 days in the office and 2 days at home per week), 25 days holiday + bank holidays, Salary Sacrifice Pension Scheme, Life Cover, Medical Cover, ongoing training and development.

The Technical Sales Engineer will report directly to the Projects Team Leader and be responsible for giving technical and sales support to Consultants, Contractors, Distributors, Merchants, OEM's, End Users and the Company's Sales Team. To promote the sale of the Company's products and services by giving expert technical and sales support. To be aware and understand the UK Group organisation and be able to present the Company's Mission and Vision statements and be able to present an overview of its strategic objectives.

Responsibilities of the Technical Sales Engineer:

  • To acquire and maintain complete knowledge concerning the Company's range of products and services.
  • To develop knowledge regarding competitors' products.
  • To apply this knowledge in relation to customers' requirements.
  • To keep up to date with changes in the technology and development of our products
  • The preparation of technical quotations and the provision of technical advice to our customers via telephone or electronic mail.
  • The provision of technical support to all company users.
  • To liaise with our warehouse/service staff on the subject of pump assembly, product modifications and delivery.
  • As part of your role, you will be encouraged to develop your knowledge of the product range, competitor ranges, as well as liaising with External Sales staff, working collaboratively across the business to turn project opportunities into orders

Requirements for the Technical Sales Engineer:

  • Technical Sales Engineering background is required
  • Applicants will need to have worked with a product range for an engineering or manufacturing company
  • Be a confident communicator who has worked with Field Service Engineers, Sales Teams and the Customer.
  • Strong working knowledge of both Word and Excel
