Accounts and Audit Senior - Chartered Accountants - ACCA / ACA qualification needed - Hybrid Working Available - Competitive Salary (DoE) + benefits

We are looking for an ACCA / ACA qualified (or nearly qualified) Audit Senior to join an established Chartered Accountancy firm in Bury, Suffolk.

The Accounts and Audit Senior will be responsible for undertaking high quality audit, accounts preparation and tax compliance for a range of corporate clients.

Standard hours are Monday - Friday, 9am - 5.30pm, although the hours can be worked around the company’s core hours of 10am-4.30pm, and our client is embracing hybrid/flexible working!

Key responsibilities as the Audit Senior will include:

  • Undertaking audit assignments
  • Preparing audit planning
  • Completing audit testing
  • Ensuring work is completed is evidenced and recorded
  • Preparing audit completion documentation
  • Reviewing files prepared by junior staff
  • Preparation of accounts to final stage
  • Preparing draft corporation tax computations
  • Submitting corporation tax returns to HMRC
  • Reviewing Companies House forms prior to submission
  • Developing client relationships and proactively identifying opportunities for additional services
  • Directing and supervising junior staff

What we’re looking for in suitable Audit Senior:

  • ACCA / ACA qualification or nearly qualified
  • Solid experience of managing (planning, fieldwork and completion) corporate audits with turnover levels of £5-£15million
  • Experienced in leading audit assignments
  • Confident communication skills with the ability to liaise at all levels
  • IT literate
  • Excellent attention to detail and accurate numerical skills
  • Proactive team player
  • Willingness to develop and learn
