Management Accountant

Are you a forward-thinking accountant looking to make a significant impact? Our client is seeking a Management Accountant to play a crucial role in supporting month-end processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in deliverables, and assisting the Finance Director with various accounting tasks. The successful candidate will also contribute to the wider team with ad hoc duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer monthly timesheet reports for payroll preparation and review by the Operations Director and Finance Director.
  • Lead payroll processes, including preparing detailed schedules for payroll changes, calculating various payments, and issuing necessary documents.
  • Ensure payroll integrity by maintaining accurate employee details.
  • Handle outbound payments, including purchase ledger, staff expenses, payroll, and other ad hoc payments, while maintaining approval integrity.
  • Support month-end activities, such as preparing accruals, prepayments, and fixed asset registers, and calculating and importing journals.
  • Assist with year-end processes and external audits.
  • Manage credit card transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness, and adjust credit limits as necessary.
  • Act as a first-line approver for purchase order requests, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform system administration duties, including running reports and setting up new employees in Sage.
  • Engage in other ad hoc duties as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • ACCA / CIMA part-qualified (minimum level).
  • High attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Excel; Sage knowledge is advantageous.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to challenge and improve current processes.
