NXTGEN is excited to be working with a growing accountancy practice based in Bury St Edmunds to recruit an experienced Bookkeeper for their Outsourcing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has a passion for Bookkeeping and thrives on variety, working with diverse clients, and delivering a high-quality service within a supportive and flexible environment. As a Bookkeeper, you'll work closely with a portfolio of clients delivering an all-round bookkeeping service, acting as a key point of contact for your clients, building strong relationships and providing them with valuable support whilst advising on cloud-based technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support clients with all bookkeeping needs in a timely manner
  • Reconcile accounts and bank statements to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Prepare VAT returns and submit to HMRC on time
  • Prepare monthly management accounts
  • Support clients with software queries and set up, including Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks
  • Support clients with software setup on cloud-based platforms

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience in a bookkeeping role within an accountancy practice or similar environment
  • A strong working knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, and Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of your work
  • Great interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with clients
