Branch Manager – Spider is supporting a company who specialise in Temperature Controlled Environments including refrigeration, heat recovery, ventilation, heat pumps and air-conditioning. They are looking for a Branch Manager who has a background in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration to join their Bury St Edmunds branch.
We are advertising now for a January 2025 start. We endeavour to take the time to advertise and review accordingly to ensure make the right appointments.
As a Branch Manager you will be responsible for leading and supporting the profitable development of the Bury St Edmunds branch. You will also be expected to manage the operational teams, plan and deliver the next stage of their company development strategy, and build our customer portfolio in the respective areas.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Lead key areas of operations such as: projects and installation work, planned maintenance contracts, and reactive service works
- Drive sales and business developments and ensure sales targets are met and budgets are monitored
- Technical system design and equipment selection
- Ensure quality, customer service and profitability
- Promote organisational values and objectives
- Ensure management systems and procedures are adhered to
- Adopt active role in training and development of staff
- Provide inform feedback to the Board of Directors
About you:
You will need a minimum of 2 years of practical experience working on Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration systems, as well as a City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning and City & Guilds 2079 Refrigerant Handling Certificate. You will demonstrate excellent leadership skills and, strong written and verbal communication skills, great customer service skills, and a good understanding of Health & Safety practices. You will have strong problem-solving skills and confident in taking initiative. As well as this, you will be highly organised with previous experience in managing teams of people.

They have a fair, competitive salary of between £45,000 - £70,000 per annum dependent upon experience. They have a company pension scheme and increasing annual leave entitlement for length of service. You will be provided with a hybrid company car and fuel card, together with a laptop and mobile phone. They also provide regular manufacturer training, annual occupational health assessments and a winter flu vaccination programme.
