We are looking for a Sales Manager with a strong will to succeed and a passion for sales to join our team. This role is based at our Bury St Edmunds facility and offers the opportunity to be part of a strong team striving for improvement and growth in exciting marine and industrial markets. The Sales Manager will be responsible for identifying and executing growth opportunities to expand our market position and penetrate new channels, markets, customers, and applications.

Day to Day of the Role:
  • Develop and execute growth strategy plans to penetrate markets and gain share.
  • Develop new OEM relationships and support existing programs and customers.
  • Provide competitive market intelligence to identify gaps in product offerings and marketing activities.
  • Work closely with the Sales Director and Engineering Director to inform NPD activities and execute new programs.
  • Increase customer and end-user awareness of our products and services, providing training as required.
  • Negotiate selling prices to meet or exceed margin, growth, and volume targets.
  • Anticipate and analyse customer needs, current and future trends.
  • Forecast sales, bookings, and standard gross margin targets in the designated territory.
  • Launch new products in territories and manage accounts.
  • Maintain a sound knowledge of company technology and principles.
  • Coordinate efforts with operations, customer service, and other departments to resolve customer-impacting issues.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years’ international sales experience with a proven track record.
  • Experience working with large industrial OEMs.
  • Experience selling industrial products, preferably within the Marine, Power, and Industrial market space.
  • Strong will to sell and consultative selling skills.
  • Key account management experience.
  • Analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to calculate discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and apply basic algebra.
  • Project management, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Experience using CRM to record, monitor, and track the sales pipeline.
  • Solid presentation skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Engineering or a technical subject, or equivalent.
