We are looking for an experienced CNC Turner to join our team in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk on a full-time basis.

About the role:
As a CNC Turner, you will be a pivotal to our production process, supplying high-quality machined parts to support our assembly team. You’ll be setting and operating CNC lathes and occasionally mills, working closely with the Head Machinist to refine our processes and tools. Your working hours will be Monday – Friday for 8-hour shifts. This role will be 90% turning and 10% milling.
Day-to-day duties will include:
- Programme and set CNC lathes and mills, including live tooling.
- Operate existing CNC laith and mill programmes efficiently.
- Monitor tool wear during machining cycles and perform spot checks on parts.
- Load materials into machines/bar feeds, cut, and handle raw materials with precision.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of machine parts and the working environment.
- Conduct basic maintenance on machine tools and manage machine fluids.
- Collaborate with the wider engineering team for design and process improvements.
About you:
You will have a previous experience as a CNC Turner who is eager to learn and grow within our organisation. You will possess experience in both turning and milling, preferably with a background in live tooling and familiarity with CNC machinery (Haas/Fanuc). Your attention to detail, proactive mindset, and ability to remain calm under pressure will set you apart as you strive to meet deadlines and tackle challenges head-on.
