CNC Turner / Programmer£31,200 and £36,400 Based on the outskirts of Thetford  We are assisting with the recruitment of an experienced CNC Turner / Programmer on behalf of a well-established precision engineering client located on the outskirts of Thetford. This full-time role offers a competitive salary between £31,200 and £36,400 per annum (based on a 40-hour workweek), dependent on skills and experience.  Role Overview: This is a varied and hands-on role suited to an experienced CNC Turner who can confidently program, set, and operate a range of advanced machinery to deliver consistently high standards. This position also involves working closely from technical drawings, handling a mixture of metal and plastic materials, and ensuring precision and quality through each phase of production.  Key Responsibilities:
  • Machinery Operation: Program, set, and run CNC turning equipment, including:
    • Daewoo Puma 230M with Live Tooling
    • Daewoo Puma 2000SY with Live Tooling
    • Nakamura-Tome TMC 30
  • Manual Machining: Perform occasional manual machining as required, complementing CNC work for tailored project needs.
  • Material Handling: Work with both plastic and metal components, adjusting techniques as needed for different material specifications.
  • Drawing Interpretation: Accurately work from engineering drawings to ensure that all parts meet client specifications.
  • Project Management: Manage individual projects from start to finish, working to tight tolerances and maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Collaboration and Independence: Work effectively as part of a skilled team while managing your workload independently, meeting deadlines and maintaining productivity.
 Working Hours:
  • Monday to Thursday: 8 am – 5 pm
  • Friday: 8 am – 1 pm
