Experienced Site Manager needed for 132kv substation build in SuffolkOur client is seeking an experienced and highly skilled site manager to oversee the construction of a 132kv substation in Bury St Edmunds. The successful candidate will possess exceptional leadership abilities, extensive knowledge of high voltage systems, and hold a UKPN Long Objects ticket.Qualifications:UKPN Long Objects Ticket- Essential qualification required for this role.- This ticket certifies that you are capable enough to manage long objects up to 132kV within open bar compounds.Skills:Leadership Skills- Ability to lead large teams effectively while ensuring safety standards are met at all times.Communication skills - Excellent communication both written and oral with good interpersonal skills essential when working across multiple teams from different departments on-site.Technical Knowledge - Experience managing construction projects involving High Voltage (HV) substations or electrical installations would be advantageous but not necessary as training can be provided if required,Project Management experience - Demonstrable track record running complex engineering projects end-to-end through appropriate risk management techniques including scheduling tasks against timeframes set by stakeholders such as clients or contractors.Responsibilities include;1. Oversee day-to-day operations onsite comprising health & safety protocols aligned with company policies whilst keeping records regarding progress reports;2. Ensure compliance on project specifications so it meets international best practices requirements without compromising quality control measures involved throughout production cycle ;3.Communicate directly with key individuals e.g., suppliers/sub-contractors/client representatives etc.;4.Manage budgets efficiently using approved guidelines during various stages which may require input from relevant team members especially accounting department personnel;5.Report regularly about project status updates i.e., timelines achieved/missed targets along any challenges faced anticipated ahead plus proposed solutions implemented successfully where applicable Rate:The rate offered is £400 per day based upon previous related work experiences alongside qualifications held currently.
