As a Pre-School Practitioner, you will play a key role in shaping the early years of our attendees under the supportive guidance of our management team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about fostering a safe and stimulating environment for early childhood development.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Curriculum Planning: Utilize the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework to assist in curriculum planning and ensure a rich learning environment.
  • Child Development Monitoring: Conduct regular observations to monitor children’s development and wellbeing. Maintain accurate records using the Pre-School management system, including conducting the 2-year-old progress checks.
  • Parent Engagement: Act as a key person for a small group of children, building strong relationships with their parents/carers and involving them in the learning process.
  • Inclusive Environment: Create and maintain an inclusive setting where all children are supported, valued, and respected regardless of their educational needs or backgrounds.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure the safety of children by adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection regulations.
  • Professional Development: Engage in continuous professional development to keep abreast of best practices in early years education.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualifications: Must hold at least a Level 3 qualification in early years education and childcare.
  • Experience: Proven experience working with young children and a thorough understanding of child development from birth to five years.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proficiency in English as required by the EYFS.
  • Knowledge: A strong understanding of the EYFS, safeguarding, child protection procedures, and play-based learning approaches.
  • Attributes: A commitment to promoting safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion. A flexible and friendly approach to work, capable of building effective relationships and working collaboratively within a team.
