We are a dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) school committed to providing exceptional support to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Our goal is to create a nurturing and inclusive environment where every student can achieve their full potential.
Role Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for working with children and young people, particularly those with SEMH needs. You will play a vital role in supporting students' learning and emotional well-being, helping them to overcome barriers and succeed academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to students with SEMH needs in both classroom and one-on-one settings.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure comprehensive support for students.
- Monitor and report on students' progress and development.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a difference.
- Relevant qualifications or training in education or child development (preferred but not essential).
