My client, who is a leading timber engineering specialist, located at purpose-built sites strategically positioned across the UK is currently looking to recruit a number of Production Operatives in Bury St Edmunds. Renowned for its team of timber engineering experts, the very latest manufacturing processes, integrated supply chains and strong environmental credentials, my client prides itself on achieving timber engineering excellence.
Theirproducts include Roof Trusses, Spandrel Panels, I-Joists, Metal Web Joists, Floor Cassettes and Roof Cassettes.
Purpose of Role
To undertake associated production tasks to manufacture the product range which includes Roof trusses, Spandrel panels, I-Joists, Metal web joists and Cassette floors.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
The successful candidateswill be required to undertake a variety of activities involved in the complete process of manufacturing the timber-based product range. This may also include assisting other team members with cutting timber and movement of stock around the site. This will include manual handling, assembling and packaging for delivery.
The manufacturing process is assisted by utilising single and multi-blade saws, presses, routers, and nail guns.
The duties described are not exhaustive, and you may be required to undertake any other reasonable duties as required by your manager, this is likely to include being trained in multi-disciplined areas.
Skills:
- Ability to interpret and work from drawings / cutting lists unaided
- Good numerical and measuring skills
Experience:
- Warehouse/ production experience preferable
- Use of hand tools
- Manual handling
