Location: Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk - IP28 
Pay Rate: £11.95 per hour (Basic) | £17.93 per hour (Overtime after 40 hours)
Shifts:

  • Morning: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
  • Afternoon: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM
    Working Days: Monday to Friday (8 hours per day)
    Start Date: Immediate

We are currently seeking Food Production Operatives to join our client site – a modern bacon factory near Bury St Edmunds. If you are motivated, reliable, and willing to work, we want to hear from you!

Position Overview:

As a Production Operative, you will be involved in all areas of food production, from slicing and packing to labelling and quality checking. Full training is provided, and no prior experience is required. This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly, supportive work environment, with potential for a temp-to-perm position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing, slicing, packing, labelling, and coding bacon products
  • Visually inspecting finished items to meet customer specifications
  • Packing items according to specific guidelines and requirements
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization in your work area
  • Following all safety protocols and guidelines

Requirements:

  • No prior experience needed – training provided
  • Availability to work 8-hour shifts
  • Ability to work in various areas of food production
  • Positive work attitude, punctuality, and reliability
  • Physical fitness (heavy lifting may be involved)
  • Bus transportation is available from Ipswich, Stowmarket, and Bury St Edmunds - outside those areas candidate must have own transport to site
