Our client are the leaders in their industry and seeking a Technical Internal Sales professional to join their Bury St Edmunds facility.

This role offers the chance to be part of a team striving for growth in marine and industrial markets and to contribute to the global transition to sustainable power.

Day to Day of the role

  • Follow up on inbound leads to understand customer needs for current and future sales opportunities, developing a strong pipeline of new revenue opportunities.
  • Research potential customers and pre-qualify opportunities to add to the pipeline.
  • Utilise various communication methods including phone, email, social media, and in-person interactions.
  • Respond to inbound customer enquiries with high levels of customer service to maximise opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records of the customer pipeline, from leads to closing.
  • Move qualified leads through the pipeline and connect them with the right expert when needed.
  • Present the company’s products and capabilities through various methods.
  • Develop and maintain good customer relationships, identifying potential needs for revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Sales Teams to maximise lead generation and conversion.
  • Continually develop product and application knowledge.
  • Adhere to Company Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Highly motivated self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English and preferably a second European language.
  • Understanding of basic technical concepts to support product selection and customer applications.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.
  • Proactive and determined to grow revenue.
  • Ability to use a variety of communication platforms such as email, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Teams.
  • Basic algebra and ability to calculate figures such as discounts and percentages.
  • Ideally, a qualification in a technical subject and 3 years of sales experience.
