We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Production Team Manager to join our client's team in Bury St Edmunds. This role involves leading all operations while on shift, ensuring health and safety compliance, efficient production, and clear communication with other departments.



Role Requirements:

  • Manage all activities during shifts, ensuring adherence to health and safety standards.
  • Deliver the production plan on time, within budget, and at targeted efficiency levels.
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints and accident reports promptly.
  • Ensure adequate shift staffing levels, manage planned/unplanned absences, and update HR systems.
  • Conduct return-to-work interviews and manage annualised working hours for the team.
  • Perform and oversee weekly health and safety inspections.
  • Maintain hygiene standards across the during shifts.
  • Lead the Tier 1 accountability review process, ensuring actions are completed and reports are updated.
  • Develop and manage team training needs and maintain training records.
  • Oversee compliance with UFAS standards and environmental management systems (BS EN ISO 14001/50001).
  • Lead 5S initiatives to improve workplace organization and efficiency.
  • Handle informal counseling and first-level disciplinary processes effectively.


Experience Needed:

  • Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety procedures.
  • Awareness of compliance with current legislation.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.


Working Hours:

  • Full-time position working continental shifts.
