Our client, a prominent player in the water sector, is searching for a Regional Pump Engineer to join their team based in Bury St Edmunds. This permanent role involves servicing and maintaining pumps, hoses, and generators to a high standard within a designated region.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Reducing backlogs of non-RFH equipment at depots, either on-site or at the "home depot"
  • Undertaking major repairs and refurbishments
  • Ensuring all servicing is up to date on-site and at depot
  • Diagnosing faults and repairing/maintaining various pumps, hoses, and generators in the fleet
  • Checking, tagging, and updating service records for all equipment
  • Maintaining a current knowledge of products and accessories
  • Adhering to best safe working practices at all times
  • Reporting all incidents/accidents and abiding by site Health & Safety rules


Job Requirements:

  • Experience in pumps, hoses, and generators is essential
  • Relevant pump qualification or time-served pump engineer
  • Preferable CITB/NVQ qualification
  • Valid driving licence
  • Strong mechanical and electrical skills
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Flexible attitude to adapt to the region's changing needs
  • Effective communication and record-keeping skills
