Bristow Holland is seeking an experienced Global IT Infrastructure Manager to join a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation based in Bury St Edmunds. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a skilled team, optimise a hybrid cloud and on-premise environment, and drive the strategic direction of IT services across the business.

As the Global IT Infrastructure Manager, you will support the Head of IT in designing, implementing, and maintaining the company’s IT infrastructure. You will play a key role in ensuring systems are secure, scalable, and cost-effective, while also managing vendor relationships and leading a high-performing IT team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure across cloud and on-premise environments.
  • Ensure high availability, security, and performance of infrastructure systems.
  • Develop and execute IT strategies that align with business objectives and future growth.
  • Maintain compliance with security standards and implement robust data protection measures.
  • Continuously monitor and optimise cloud and infrastructure performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
  • Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, providing technical guidance and career development.
  • Collaborate with application development, cybersecurity, and wider IT teams to support innovation and new technology initiatives.
  • Manage service provider relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure SLAs are consistently met.
  • Plan and manage IT infrastructure budgets effectively to align with business priorities.
Candidate Requirements:
  • 5+ years’ experience in a senior infrastructure role.
  • Strong expertise in cloud infrastructure management (Azure or AWS).
  • Hands-on experience with virtualisation technologies (VMware or Hyper-V).
  • Proficiency in Office 365 administration and cloud-based collaboration tools.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage IT teams, fostering a culture of innovation and performance.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Excellent time management and prioritisation skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Deep understanding of cloud architecture, data security, and risk management.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for infrastructure-related issues.
  • Experience in project management, successfully delivering infrastructure-related initiatives.
