Location Based close to Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk
Working hours Monday to Thursday 8am 5pm and Friday 8am 1pm
Rate of pay Between £15.39 - £16.54 per hour
Capacity of role Temporary to Permanent position
Our client is a leading manufacturer in the local area is currently recruiting for a Team Leader to join their busy workshop.
Candidates will need to have own transport and ideally will be looking for a role with an immediate start
Main duties will include
- Oversee production operations.
- Working in conjunction with the Head of Production ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets are measured and met.
- Provide direction, training and feedback to employees.
- Oversee and monitor workers within the area during production activities to ensure adherence to ethics, safety and quality procedures.
- Be responsible for being a leadership resource to team members, providing knowledge, experience, motivation, support and advice, knowing proper procedures for workers to follow and ensuring that they comply.
- Provide guidance to the team on how to use tools and equipment, or how to improve quality or speed of production. Encourage team effort and supportive attitudes between workers
- Good communication skills
- Previous working experience in a team leading position
- Own transport due to the location of the premises
- Previous manufacturing operations- ideally working in a manufacturing based environment
