Join a busy and thriving workshop near Bury St Edmunds as a Mechanical Fitter, where you'll be part of a collaborative and skilled team. This role provides an exciting opportunity to enhance your expertise while taking on various engaging and hands-on challenges. We're seeking candidates with strong assembly and fitting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in MIG welding would be a valuable bonus and further complement your skill set.
Due to the location of the site, having your own transport is essential
Mechanical Fitter Duties:
- Fabricate and install parts for heavy goods vehicles
- Use hand and power tools effectively
- Weld joints and sections securely
- Perform heavy lifting and stand throughout the day
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace
Pay & Hours:
- Flexible working hours between 7am and 5pm
- Monday to Friday, 40-hour working week
- 15+ p/hour, depending on experience
