Time Appointments are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a leading local business who are currently seeking to appoint an analytically minded Stock Controller to join their thriving team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing the company’s inventory requirements along with ensuring stock levels meet business requirements.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Proven experience as a Stock/Inventory Controller, or similar purchasing experience
  • Thorough understanding of inventory management principles and supply chain procedures
  • Strong computer literacy, including the use of inventory management software and Microsoft packages
  • Sound administrative experience
  • Excellent organisational abilities
  • A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proven experience of working to deadlines
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced environment
  • Problem solving abilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Analysing stock and inventory across all depots, assisting the Buyer’s with ensuring stock availability, and stock levels are adequately maintained at all times
  • Working closely with other departments to organise and schedule transfers of goods between depots to prevent stock outs
  • Analysing sales data to make stocking recommendations to other areas of the business
  • Expediting outstanding orders and part received orders, both for goods purchased within the UK or imports.
  • Ensuring supplier deliveries are in line with company procedures and the booking in system is utilised.
  • Building and maintaining strong business relationships with new and existing suppliers.
  • Procurement administration duties and product maintenance.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the forecast system and available reports.
  • Implementing and improving processes and procedures.
  • Compiling daily reports and addressing stock discrepancies where required.
  • Performing random checks and audits.
