About the Role:An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced Senior Planner to join my client's team in Bury St Edmunds. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading planning projects, providing expert advice, and ensuring successful outcomes for a variety of residential, commercial, and rural developments. This role offers the chance to work within a dynamic, collaborative team, contributing to complex projects and strategic planning initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage planning applications, appeals, and strategic projects.

  • Provide expert planning advice to clients across residential, commercial, and rural sectors.

  • Conduct planning appraisals, environmental impact assessments, and land promotions.

  • Engage with local authorities, stakeholders, and clients to navigate the planning process.

  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and client expectations effectively.

  • Stay informed of planning policies, regulations, and market trends to ensure best practice.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Town Planning, Urban Planning, or a related field.

  • MRTPI qualification or significant progress toward full membership.

  • Proven experience in planning consultancy, local authority, or related environment.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
